Make this King's birthday, one to remember
We love a long weekend in Australia, and Frankston City is keen to celebrate too.
We’ve put together a few ideas to make the most of the weekend.

Find your favourite bands in the Sound Cube
A weekend of music, featuring some of our favourite bands and songwriters in our little Cube.
Saturday sees Frankston indie darlings The Belair Lip Bombs playing their first gig on home soil since returning from their European tour, with support from local legends Hey Spiro! and Gnome. (allocation exhausted)
Sunday features the extraordinary and thrilling artist, Bumpy, as well as a solo performances from the incredibly talented Velvet Bloom and Ella Dunshea.
In our Glass Cube space, Sokeiprim will be playing an open to close DJ set across both days.
All ages, all welcome. This is a FREE event but please register to guarantee your spot.
The Deck est. 2013 – has got you covered for every day and night of the weekend.
From 2-4-1 knock off drinks on Friday night to Rooftop Bottomless Brunch sessions on both Saturday and Sunday, you can move from winding down with work friends to winding up with best friends without having to move.
On Sunday, The Deck est. 2013 are flipping the script, with an EPIC ALL AGES event, TABLES TURNT, presented by Budha Entertainment. They’ll be taking over downstairs and keeping things live, local and loud with three emerging alt-rock, indie and metal acts making their mark on the King’s Eve Celebrations.
Everyone under 18* receives a free soft drink, and anyone 18+ will be able to access the rooftop for the free after party.

Hotel Lona has you sorted for the weekend too!
Kicking off from Thursday with food and drink specials and your choice of acoustic tunes downstairs or club DJ on the rooftop.
On the Sunday night, the doors will open at 8.30pm for a Lona Rooftop party like no other.
Sounds by Madeleine, Chandler, Press Play and Sundance and 2 for 1 cocktails from 9-10pm set the stage for a night that your crew will never forget.

Frankston Brewhouse in New Street is a micro-brewery with a big personality. Building a name for themselves serving ‘socially approachable’ bevvies, seasonal share plates and hosting regular events to give you every reason to get the crew together for a good time, on King’s Birthday eve, they’re the place for live music from 2pm.
On the waterfront, Olivers Corner is the home of great music, delicious cocktails and Melbourne’s best views. Head down on Sunday to try one of their vibrant cocktails and enjoy live music from Dave McMillan from 3pm as the sun sets over the bay. What a way to say happy birthday to the King!
As a teaser for their upcoming Dainton Country Weekender (4-7 July), Dainton Brewery Taphouse will have the country music flowing along with the beer on Friday (Will Rounds - Willy the Kid) and Sunday (Steve Durie). Couple that with some delicious wood fire smoked craft BBQ from Q Barbeque, you would be forgiven for settling in here for the afternoon.
How fortunate are we that World Gin Day happens to fall on a long weekend! If you’re a gin lover, then That Spirited Lot Distillers in Seaford is a stop you need to make this weekend. They have tasting, cocktails, coffee and jaffles on Friday and Saturdays, and from 4-6pm on Fridays is Happy Hour!
Mr Banks Brewing Co. in Seaford is also hosting happy hour on Friday from 4-6pm, with $10 pints, the footy will be showing live on the big on Saturday and then Sunday sips for the long weekend promises a good time for all. Couple the signature Mr Banks beers with some fresh pizzas and the weekend is set.

Then why not take to the city and create some fun of your own.
The city is now home to 80+ massive street art murals crafted by national and international street artists. Follow the trail to find them all.
Along the way, why not get reacquainted with the city centre's amazing restaurants - new and old? From The Hop Shop and Betty's Burgers to TGI Fridays, YOMG and Martini & Co, just to name a few, there really is something for everyone.
And as the sun sets a little earlier, the lights come on across Wells and Playne Street revealing a playground for all ages. Whether with family or friends, discover escape room challenges and blockbuster movies, karaoke, laser tag, ten pin bowling and arcade games and mini golf mini golf and create some winter memories to share.
