The event runs from 4.30pm – 9.30pm. The Christmas tree lighting and fireworks display will be at approximately 9.15pm.
It’s free to attend Frankston’s Christmas Festival, and there are plenty of free activities, however, you should bring some money/credit card in case you would like to purchase food, beverages, market items, or ride tickets.
There will be a large range of food and beverage vendors on site, with plenty of variety to cater for different dietary requirements and taste buds. More information coming soon.
The Little Beauty Christmas Market will be back for all to enjoy. The park also offers a great view of the fireworks!
The official Christmas parade starts at the corner of High and Young Streets at 6:00pm and travels north towards Davey Street.
Santa will be ready to have a chat about your Christmas wishes and pose for your own photo at Santa’s House located in Cube 37, Frankston Arts Centre on Davey Street. Santa’s House will be open from 5.00-9pm.
Get ready for spins, turns, giggles and squeals of delight — the Rides and Amusement Precinct returns to Baxter Street for 2025!
No. There will be free performances of the show at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm and 8pm on a first-come-first served basis and cannot be booked in advance. The duration of the show is approximately 20-25 minutes. Doors open from 4:30pm.

Gather around the Norfolk Pine from 9.15pm for our Tree Lighting Ceremony and fireworks display. If it looks like weather will impact the fireworks proceeding, announcements will be made on the night. The fireworks will be launched from behind the Civic Centre which is located on the corner of Young and Davey streets.
Yes. If the road is closed, however, exclusion zones will be in place to ensure your safety. Please follow any direction given to you by festival staff, security, SES, CFA or Victoria Police and do not enter the exclusion zones at any time. Please ensure you are only occupying the sections of roads closed to vehicles.
Yes, Victoria Police officers and security staff will be monitoring the event and taking a zero-tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour.

There will be a hydration station at the event. Location information coming soon. It is recommended you bring a water bottle to fill up and stay hydrated throughout the event.
We do not recommend bringing your dogs to the event. Due to crowd numbers, loud noises and the fireworks display at 9.15pm, some dogs may become overwhelmed.
Yes. A portable parent pod will be at the event. Location information coming soon. Equipped with a baby change table, comfortable feeding chair and mini kitchenette. There are also change facilities in the Frankston Arts Centre and Frankston Library.
In some conditions it may be necessary for aspects of the event to be modified. In extreme conditions where it is deemed unsafe to continue, programming may be delayed or cancelled.
