If you haven’t heard the exciting news, get ready for the return of two incredible markets this season that are sure to fulfil your shopping desires! If you’re a fan of charming stalls and market treasures, you won’t want to miss the Little Beauty Market at Beauty Park, High Street Frankston. With nearly 100 specially curated stall holders, this market promises plenty of fab finds! The first market for the season kicks off on Saturday 23 September, 9am-2pm.

Friday nights at the Waterfront just got a new vibe. If you’re a fan of leisurely strolling through markets with a refreshing cocktail in hand, while being treated to a beautiful waterfront sunset, then the Sunset Twilight Markets are an absolute must-visit for you. Held monthly on a Friday night from October - January along the Frankston Waterfront, the vibe is chilled, with plenty of stall holders, food trucks and live music. Mark your calendars for the first market on Friday 20 October, 5-9pm.

TOP PICNIC SPOTS

As the weather warms up and the flowers start to bloom, it’s time to dust off those picnic blankets because picnic season is here! It’s the perfect time to explore lush green parks and spaces throughout Frankston. Here's your top 5 picnic plonks:

George Pentland Gardens, with its colourful native flora and tranquil atmosphere, is a must-visit for nature lovers. Here you can enjoy the large open spaces, relax on the lawns or at the water’s edge, have a picnic or barbecue with family and friends while the little ones make a bee line to the playground.

Frankston Waterfront
Experience the beauty of Frankston's waterfront and take in the view of Port Phillip Bay from the beach or shaded picnic areas. After your picnic take a stroll along the sandy shore of Frankston Beach or continue your adventure along the boardwalk through the Tea Trees and Banksias, over the Landmark Bridge which connects to the Kananook Creek Trail to the north or Oliver's Hill to the south.

Nestled in the heart of Frankston, Beauty Park boasts lush green lawns, an ornamental lake and stunning gardens, a beautiful oasis amongst the city’s hustle and bustle. There is also a playground there for those who want to keep little ones entertained.

Ballam Park
Ballam Park is home to a huge area of open space featuring two playgrounds, a basketball half-court, tennis wall, walking trails, ovals and an athletics track. There is so much to do for all ages, with shade and barbecues located in the large picnic area. In the water months there is a park for water play too.

Seaford Foreshore
Take a relaxing walk in the tranquil surrounds of the Seaford foreshore. Crystal blue water and picture perfect white sand, nestled behind the Tea Trees creates this hidden gem, perfect to watch the waves roll in and catch the sunset. Grab an ice cream at Gelato Unou or a bite to eat in one of the cafes in the Seaford Village not far from the picnic areas. Want that picture perfect snap? Take a wander along Seaford Pier.

Cruden Farm, located in the heart of Langwarrin is one of Victoria’s most exciting green spaces - a special place left by Dame Elisabeth Murdoch for the people to enjoy, that is now managed by a charitable trust. Cruden Farm bursts into life during spring with vibrant colours and blossoming landscapes. During the months of September and October Cruden Farm will be holding Posy Pop-Ups - a fun, hands on flower workshops designed for flower enthusiasts. This is the perfect opportunity to roam the beautiful gardens of Cruden Farm and take part in a relaxing flower tutorial in the courtyard of the Elisabeth Murdoch stables.

Feeling adventurous? One exciting spring activity in Frankston is exploring the stunning coastline on a water bike with Water Bikes Australia. Experience the thrill of gliding across the waters, enjoying the ocean views, making it a memorable adventure!

Spring marks the beginning of an incredible outdoor events and festivals calendar. On right now is the exciting season of AFLW games at Kinetic Stadium, where you can witness incredible women’s Australian Rules Football action amongst the energetic atmosphere and cheer on your favourite team.  Kinetic Stadium is the home ground for Hawthorn AFLW, you can catch the Hawks in action in rounds 4, 5 and 9.
