Get ready for Rotary Peninsula LogoDuck Derby 2025!

Zoetrope Bridge over Kananook Creek

Get ready for a splash of excitement with the Rotary Peninsula 2.0 Duck Derby at the Waterfront Festival!

Watch as 1,200 rubber ducks race down Kananook Creek for a chance to win amazing prizes. The first duck across the line takes home a $1,000 Karingal Hub shopping voucher, with second and third place winning $200 and $100 Village Movie Village Movie vouchers. Plus, there are great prizes from local Frankston restaurants!

New for 2025, we're introducing a Corporate Duck Race! Local businesses can decorate their ducks and compete for prizes like Best Decorated Duck, voted by you, the public. It’s a fun way to support your community and get in on the action.

For just $10, you can purchase a Lucky Duck entry, and who knows—your duck might just float to victory! Limited tickets available, so grab yours early. The race starts at 1pm, and the fun continues with a podium presentation to announce the winners.

The Rotary Duck Derby and Corporate Duck Race raises much-needed funds to support local community organisations - the 2025 race will raise money to purchase 24/7 defibrillators along the Frankston waterfront from Defibrillators Australia.

As well as having a duck racing, those who visit the Waterfront Festival on Friday 7 February from 5pm, can also judge the 'Fashions on the Creek' and help choose the best decorated Corporate duck entered by local businesses.

Don’t miss out—see you at the creek for a quacking good time!

The money raised in the 2024 Duck Derby purchase beach access matting to support our residents and visitors in wheelchairs to be able to access our much-loved beach. The beach matting will be available outside Frankston Yacht Club (30N Long Island Drive, Frankston) over the summer season on Saturdays during their operating hours.
