Waterfront Festival Getting There
Transport and Access
To remove the stress of trying to find parking we encourage you to take public transport to the event.
Proud festival partner, Metro Trains, makes getting to the Festival and home again easy and stress free – it’s only 700 metres (or a short 16-minute walk) from Frankston Station to the festival – which will be much faster than finding that illusive car park!
The bus also leaves from Frankston Station. Bus numbers 781, 784, 785 and 788 all stop at Frankston Pier/Nepean Highway – which is right outside the Festival site.

There are a number of public car parks in and around the Frankston Waterfront and the city centre which can be accessed during the Festival. Fees and time restrictions may apply. Please check signage in each location.
Some locations to consider include:
- Nepean Highway (both ticketed and free (but timed) options available
- Frankston Arts Centre
- Frankston Civic Centre and Beauty Park
- Bayside Shopping Centre Entertainment Complex
- Young Street (multiple options available)
- Plowman Place (near Kinetic Stadium and St Paul’s Church)
There is no onsite parking at the Waterfront Festival.
We recommend using the Safe Drop-off Zone located on Kananook Creek Boulevard South, next to The Cheeky Squire.
All car parks in the Waterfront Precinct will be closed to the public. The following carparks will be closed from Thursday 6 February 12:01am until Sunday 9 February 12:00pm:
- Kananook boat ramp car park and boat launching facilities. Note: the Oliver’s Hill boat launching facilities and car park will remain open
- Pier Promenade Northern car park
The following carparks will be closed from Friday 7 February 12:01am until Sunday 9 February 8:00am.
- Pier Promenade Southern car park (playground car park)
- Entry to Frankston Yacht Club car park (Kananook Creek Boulevard South/Bay Trail).
The Kananook Creek boat ramp will be closed from Thursday 6 February 12:01am until Sunday 9 February 12:00pm.
The Olivers Hill boat ramp will remain open.
A Safe Drop Off Zone is available for those arriving by rideshare, taxi or those requiring an accessible point to drop off a member of your group with mobility limitations.
The Safe Drop Off Zone is located to the rear of The Cheeky Squire on Kananook Creek Boulevard South.
