Please note - the Waterfront Festival will not be open on Sunday 9 February. The rides will operate on Sunday only from 12-6pm.
It is free to attend the Waterfront Festival and most activities are free to participate in. However, there will be costs to purchase food, drinks and amusement and rides.
No. The Waterfront Festival is a free event and there are no costs to see the live bands playing on event days.
Due to the nature of the Waterfront Festival – large crowds, loud noises and unpredictable movement and lights, we do not recommend that pets are brought to the event.
As per Local Laws, dogs are not permitted on the beach between 9.30am and 7.30pm in February – this remains unchanged for the Festival.
Service animals are exempt from these restrictions.
We recommend that all pets in areas surrounding the event site and safely secured by 9.30m on Saturday 8 February, in preparation for the fireworks display which will take place between 9.45 and 10pm.
Yes, Victoria Police and security will be monitoring the event and taking a zero-tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour.
Vaping and smoking are not permitted on the event site. Any patron wanting to vape or smoke is asked to please exit the event site to do so.
BYO is not permitted at the Waterfront Festival. Alcohol can be purchased and consumed within the Garden Bar.
