An epic 9 month line up of festivals and events has just been announced with celebrations of summer, live music, festivals, immersive art installations, sporting events and so much more.

Kicking off in September (literally!), Kinetic Stadium is the home ground for Hawthorn AFLW. The season opener will see two iconic Melbourne teams reignite local rivalry with Hawthorn playing Essendon in Round 1 on Saturday 2 September. There will be around-the-ground entertainment for the whole family to enjoy and an atmosphere like no other, watching the game under the Frankston’s sunset sky. You can also catch the Hawks in action in rounds 4, 5, and 9 at Kinetic Stadium.
Market lovers, gather close. We know how much you love a shop and browse and we have two incredible markets returning this summer season. Little Beauty will be charming market goers again this year with not only their regular Saturday morning markets, but a twilight and special Christmas market too. With nearly 100 specially curated stallholders, this market will give you plenty of ooh and ahh moments at Beauty Park, Frankston.
For those who love to browse a market with a cocktail in hand and a waterfront sunset as their backdrop, the Sunset Twilight Markets are all for you. Held monthly on a Friday night from October – January along the Frankston Waterfront, the vibe is relaxed, with plenty of stalls, food trucks and live music to really set the mood. Friday nights at the waterfront just got a new vibe.
Ho, Ho, Ho! Frankston’s Christmas Festival of Lights returns again celebrating 25 years of this magical event. Filled to the brim with all the magic, wonder and joy the season brings, get ready for a night of live entertainment, Christmas music, performers, activities for the kids, and of course Santa! Did we mention, the Little Beauty Christmas market? Celebrate the magic of the Tree Lighting followed by everyone’s favourite fireworks display to kick off the festive season. Music Festivals are back baby, and we have two to get you dancing and moving. Lucky Day Out NYE returns to Frankston for a second year. This New Year’s Eve music fest sold out in 2022 so make sure you organise your crew and get your tickets early! With a killer line up of your favourite DJs, it’s definitely a NYE to remember. Let's Reminisce about this one! In 2011, Frankston's Belar Avenue was the backdrop for the inception of a musical phenomenon that would sweep the nation. From humble backyard origins to iconic venues, Reminisce quickly became an unmissable festival event. A decade later, as part of their national tour, Reminisce Decades is here with a return to its roots. Kinetic Stadium will be the place to be, as they count down the top 50 house tracks of the past 10 years. With a major line-up announced soon, this will be a dance event that bridges decades. If there is something you must do in February, it’s to dedicate your weekend to the Waterfront Festival; the ultimate celebration of summer! Launching into its 25th year, over two jam-packed days, the festival delivers the best live music, delicious food, locals bevs and brews, rides galore, and free activities and entertainment for the kids....Don't forget the fabulous waterfront fireworks on the Saturday night. Ventana is Frankston’s year-long intercultural arts program, continuing to grow in its diversity and art forms, elevating a tapestry of incredibly rich cultures. The arts program includes visual art exhibitions, performances, workshops, and events; in addition to the two-day Ventana Precinct of live music, dance, performances, activities, and food – located at the Waterfront Festival. February 10+11, Frankston Waterfront
Short Film Lovers! If you‘re a film lover, watching some of the best Australian short films outdoors, under the stars, is surely one of the best ways to immerse yourself in these incredible storytellers. Stellar Short Film Festival boasts a marvellous mix of film, food and beverages, art and entertainment. Meander through the bushland and enjoy an afternoon of outdoor art, live music, local wines and laying back on the lawns before settling in for the evening. Saturday 2 March, 5-11pm, McClelland.
Bigger and bolder every year, The Big Picture Fest is the ultimate avalanche of colour and edgy art vibes. Local and global street artists take over the city’s buildings and laneways creating epic art pieces you can see created via the free walking tours that run through the fest. Then the ultimate street art celebration kicks off at the Friday night Block Party. Live music, food trucks, bands, projections and a laneway vibe that welcomes all ages. March 18-24. NEW | This will get everyone talking. Introducing KUBIK a cutting edge, immersive art experience that will light up the autumn nights and have you setting up for a selfie. Held for 3 weeks over April, towering cubes will glow and thrill, and its rotating colours drawing you in to give your camera a serious work out. You might have seen it at Melbourne Music Week, pulsing to the beats. This is one you can’t miss April 1-21, Frankston Waterfront.
Looking for something to stir your mind and your emotions? Then South Side Festival is for you. Returning for its third year in Frankston, this edgy arts festival elevates Melbourne’s arts scene with a jam-packed program of live shows, events and moments, that leave you with your imagination provoked.
