Planning Scheme amendment set to expedite development in Frankston's city centre
Following a statement from Victorian Premier, the Hon Jacinta Allan MP, and the State Government Department of Transport and Planning, we were thrilled to hear that the Victorian Planning Authority's 'Frankston Activity Centre Plan' is likely to align with Council's own 'Frankston Metropolitan Activity Centre Structure Plan'.
This means that developers will have really clear guidance on things like height limits, set-backs, streetscapes and open space land use. Once planning scheme amendment C160fran is approved, the framework will be set and development can thrive.
Frankston City Council undertook years of R&D to produce the strategic Structure Plan, with extensive community engagement and consultation, to ensure development best reflects how locals live, work and play in the city centre, and only enhances the liveability and economic prosperity.
