Waterfront Festival Fireworks - Saturday 8 February @ 9.45pm
The Waterfront Festival is finally here (Friday 7 and Saturday 8 February 2025), and it’s going to be epic—think free activities, killer music, amazing food, and good vibes all Friday night and across Saturday.
But the highlight? The fireworks display (proudly presented by Betty's Burgers) on Saturday night, of course!
Following an unmissable performance by our headline act, Pierce Brothers, the fireworks will be launched from the end of the pier to light up the sky at 9.45pm.
So, where’s the best place to catch the fireworks? We’ve got a few spots that’ll make sure you get the best views—whether you’re looking for prime festival vibes or a quieter spot to chill with the crew.
The Waterfront Festival
Let's start with the most obvious location - right there are the Waterfront Festival. Wherever you are on the site, from the Rides Precinct, Garden Bar, Waterfront Village or beach front under the bridge, in the Carlsberg Beach Club or the deck at Oliver's Corner - none of these locations will disappoint.
Olivers Hill Lookout
This one’s a classic, and for good reason. Olivers Hill offers an amazing panoramic view across the bay, Frankston, and beyond. It’s perfect for snapping that Instagram-worthy shot of the fireworks. Just make sure to arrive early—this place fills up fast!
Olivers Hill Boat Ramp
Not a fan of crowds? Skip the lookout and head to the boat ramp car park, where you’ll find plenty of space to spread out. Grab a spot along the sea wall and enjoy the show in peace. Bonus: you’re just a short stroll from the festival, so you can pop by for food truck snacks before the big moment.
Esplanade Reserve
This grassy patch near Kinetic Stadium (aka Frankston Football Oval) is perfect for those who want a more laid-back vibe. Bring a rug, grab some food truck bites, and kick back with a cold drink as you watch the fireworks light up the bay. If you’ve been to The Sentinel, you’ll know this spot has some seriously good views.
The Deck Est. 2013
If you’re in the mood for a party vibe with your fireworks, head to The Deck. This iconic local pub has a rooftop that gives you a killer view of the bay and the fireworks. Plus, they’ve got live music on Saturdays, so you can sip on a cocktail and dance the night away while the sky lights up.
The Cheeky Squire Deck
For those who like their fireworks with a pub backdrop, the Cheeky Squire’s Cheeky Squire’s back deck is the spot. Take in the show with a pot and parma in hand. It’s the perfect summer combo.
Moon Dog Beach Club back deck
Moon Dog's Beach Club may be the new kid on the block, but they've certainly made their mark. Their back deck overlooks Kananook Creek and is the perfect spot to gather with friends and celebrate with a Fizz under the fireworks.
Did you know: Moon Dog Beach Club is the waterfront Festival's official after-party venue on both Friday and Saturday night. Free entry with DJs to keep you dancing right through to 1am!

We love the fireworks, but remember, your furry friends might not share the same excitement. So, if you're bringing your pets to the festival or live nearby, make sure they're in a safe, quiet spot away from the noise.
The 2025 Waterfront Festival fireworks display is proudly presented by Betty’s Burgers— if Pilates is your jam, make sure you book yourself a spot at their Burgers and Burn Pilates session on Saturday morning.
The Waterfront Festival is packed with activities for all ages.
For the first time the event starts of the Friday night (7 February from 5-10pm) and then goes all day Saturday (8 February, 12-10pm). There will be live music, rides, food and drink, beach activities, , Pickleball, sand sculpting, live mural creations, a pop-up market, photo opportunities, a glitter bar, and so much more.
It's basically THE ULTIMATE summer celebration, and you definitely want to be there.
