See the joy on the kids face when you take your pooch on a new wander through McClelland Sculpture Park + Gallery. With plenty of space for the kids to discover outdoor sculptures, and if you're lucky spot ducks in the lake, its a great experience especially if you grab a hot drink and bite to eat from their onsite cafe! Dog permitted on leash and you must take home all rubbish.

Nature Festival
Get ready to virtually explore and learn all about Victoria's rich natural environment and wildlife with the Victoria Nature Festival, from 11 - 26 September.
Set your young ones on an adventure exploring nature with Parks Victoria Seek and Find Nature Cards, created by artists Claire Mosley and Casey Atkinson. It's easy to just download from the website and complete with family and friends anytime they like.

Clay date
Click and collect some air drying clay from Bunnings Frankston this school holidays and create a master piece of your own. Available in white or terrcotta, 500g will cost you $9.95. Boyle Air Dry Clay does not need baking and after a drying time of around 24 hours the material becomes as hard as earthenware. Make a vase and find a succulent to match or a detailed piece of your choice.

Citizen Scientist
To celebrate Biodiversity month in September, Frankston City is taking part in "Bio Blitz 2021", competing with 8 other Councils to see who can record the most species. Getting involved is easy! Join this project and during September head outdoors to snap photos of any flora and fauna in the Frankston area and upload them using the iNaturalist App. This year we are on the lookout for Koalas and Tawny Frogmouths, however, you can record anything else you find too.

Activity guide
Victoria Police has created two activity books for children 3-6 years old and 7-12 years old.
Booklets included mazes, coloring in sheets, follow the line activities, educational information about emergency services and their vehicles. By completing the activities kids will also learn more about being a Police Officer and they types of skills required for the job.
Comic workshop
An online comic workshop with one of the coolest comic book creator, no way! Dean Rankine has been writing and drawing comics for over 20 years. His credits include working on 'The Simpsons' and 'Futurama' comics (the only Australian to ever do so). Participants will learn the ins and outs of comic books, including some history, language and storytelling technique by a professional comic book creator. Perfect for 5 to 12 years. This time of year plenty of dolphins are seen right of the shore of Frankston Beach and Pier. Recently the dolphins have been seen is pods of 6-8. Their elegance will make your day! Whilst your down there, support the environment, take a bag and pick up #3forthesea (rubbish). Thank you in advance.

Beautiful pot-bellie seahorse's have been spotted in and around the end of the Frankston Pier. Take look underwater if you dare, don't let the chill stop you!

Victor the Goat @ Oliver's Hill, Frankston
Perched on the top of Oliver's Hill with multi-million dollar views Victor, the big Goat roams free in his paddock. The hole in the fence, at the top of Oliver's Hill stair set, opposite water car in between the Oliver's Hill Boat Ramp and Frankston Pier, will get you an up closed and personal experience with Victor!
Kevin the Koala @ Frankston Nature Conservation Reserve
Making a big name for him self, sometimes Kevin has been seen very close to the track. This healthy, fluffy Koala will put on a show, seen not always sleeping! You may also see his mates climbing about.

White Alpaca's @ Frankston Nature Conservation Reserve
Also seen from a north-west view of the Frankston Nature Conservation, on private property, two stunning white Alpaca's 'Snowy' and 'Star' are making them self known. Only ever seen occasionally, take a picture if you see them. Look but don't touch and certainly no feeding!

Eyes need to be peeled in the Lanwgarrin Flora and Fauwn Reserve to spot these little fellas. A nice time of year to be seen, warmer weather get these guys wandering. Look but don't touch! Ouch!!

Whilst buying some yummy homemade preserves, jams or coffee let the kids play on the playground or let them meet the onsite miniature ponies who a very friendly (and hungry). Berry picking returning soon.
Ducks and Ducklings @ George Pentland Botanic Gardens, Frankston
Beautiful new families of ducks have gathered on the lake at George Pentland Botanica Gardens. The kids will love running free in the huge community space, a great spot for a picnic and a play on the playground if the weather persist.
